Check out my new favorite dessert. It is called "choux" and pronounced "shoo." It is a kind of pastry made from smooth dough consisting of flour, water, salt, butter, egg, and sometimes sugar. It has a French history, but for some reason is really huge in Japan after it was introduced in the 19th century. If you find yourself in the upper east side check out the Choux Factory on 88th and 1st Ave and try a strawberry filled choux... my favorite. The Japanese personell in staff is very friendly and easy going.
